About me

I have worked in Special Educational Needs for 30 years and feel passionately about children and young people having the best possible educational experience. I qualified as an Educational Psychologist in 2009 when I graduated from the doctoral training course at Southampton University. I worked as a local authority EP until 2024, and since then have been working as a locum and private EP. I am based in Southampton and work around Hampshire, Wiltshire, East Dorset and West Sussex

My values as an Educational Psychologist remain the same as they always have; I believe that children and young people have the right to an inclusive education and that change is possible when children, families and school staff work together. 

I use psychological theory to understand the context in which children and young people are learning and approach each individual situation with curiosity and compassion. I believe that children and young people can thrive in their education and grow in resilience to help them overcome hurdles they are facing.
